Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ★★★★½

After an year off because of obvious reasons, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has really been paying everything for what happened with probably one of the best stories they ever given. Wandavision succeed expectations. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, while fine for what is it, didn't made a lot of people excited. Loki also succeed expectations and a second season is already in the works. And Black Widow, despite being a mediocre start to Phase 4, still has its moments. This next entry, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is probably one of the best movies in the franchise to come out during this period, not only because of its incredible visuals and fascinating storytelling, but because it continues the MCU's (sorry) marvelous representation of diversity, and to be honest, that's what I like in stories like this

Listen, the mix of comedy and superhero action and the issues it addresses makes it worth the fun. The cinematography is spectacular, the visuals are phenomenal (especially the animals), the acting is great (Awkwafina is her funniest role yet), and bizarrely, the subplot, which I won't discuss to protect spoilers, is probably well executed

Shang Chi is a great, thrillworthy movie. Full of action, comedy, and a lot of kung fu and martial arts, it's the best movie to end the summer on. Highly recommended

And with all of that said.....BRING OUT THE ETERNALS, CHLOE ZHAO
