Trey’s review published on Letterboxd:
Perfect in every single way. Kind of makes me wish the plethora of sequels and remakes *hadn't* happened, but that ending just leaves you begging for more. What makes Myers work as a villain is the ambiguity within him; is he pure evil, or a man who has had enough of the system that abandoned him? Combine that with the mystery and shadow that constantly surrounds him, as well as Carpenter's use of atmosphere, music, foreshadowing, and all-around dread, this makes for such a terrifying experience and an absolute game-changer for horror.
