Trey’s review published on Letterboxd:
As patient, kind-hearted, and pleasant as they come. Reichardt does a fantastic job enticing you into the distant world this takes place in. While the cow might be the glue to the story, at its core, First Cow is a lovely take on true, earned friendship between its two leads. And they provide the emotional backbone through it all - even in its slower parts. It's a subtle blend of many genres, and even provides some slight social commentary that mixes in so well with this kind of story. I’ll definitely be checking out the novel in the future.
