Trevor Dobbin’s review published on Letterboxd:
EVANGELION 3.0 is perhaps the most dense, alienating, challenging Evangelion has ever been thus far. Like Shinji, we practically shout at the film throughout for it to give us answers, to give us something to hold onto, so we can make sense of this narrative. When the film does cooperate, it continues playing by its own rules, and gives us what we need and not necessarily what we want. The gap that we will likely never see is going to infuriate fans forever. Bravo, Hideaki Anno, you just topped the outrage that Episodes 25-26/END OF EVANGELION received.
