This took awhile to get going and was a little inconsistent (never bad, but not everything had me fully engaged like the best parts of the movie did). The I am a revolutionary scene was amazing, that acting was so good there and it was just powerful stuff. That’ll definitely be the clip we see over and over as Daniel Kaluuya sweeps the award season. Also that ending was tragic hard to watch man, I didn’t really know anything about this story so it was just shocking and really sad to see everything play out like that. Kaluuya was great and Lakeith was even better, and the performances are what makes this movie work as well as it does. Bill is a dude you really shouldn’t feel for, but Lakeith’s performance is so good that you actually kinda do. Great score as well, it was kinda weird but definitely worked. So yeah this movie ranged anywhere from pretty good to amazing, and while I don’t think it’s one I’d go back and rewatch, it was a powerful sit with some of the best performances I’ve seen in awhile and something I think everyone needs to seek out at some point.
