  • The Truman Show

    The Truman Show

This has a very interesting story of a man having his life secretly broadcast for the world to watch. I can imagine the type of paranoia that this movie probably awoke in a lot of people. Looking around every corner for patterns or potential hidden cameras. My goose bumps just thinking about it. Its also ironic that 24 years later, people live stream every moment of their lives online for fame and fortune. Jim Carrey is a turned down version of himself, which I appreciate. Overall, a well done time capsule.

  • Dug Days

    Dug Days

Really fun show following Dug and Carl after the events of UP. This is the kind of thing that I'm excited to come out of Disney+. Short episodes following lovable characters, whats not to love. Appreciate and love your pets/animals friends. Definite reccomend.

  • Encanto

Ay man. This hit different. Its really nice to see some diversity in protagonists in major animated movies. Various cultures often times have varied values and obstacles that make inspiring stories. Telling these stories can help show people that went through such things that their stories can be an uplifting one. My wife and I related to certain characters so much, it was eye opening how well they did it. I dont hear people talk about this movie enough. Beautifully done.

  • Spider-Man: No Way Home

    Spider-Man: No Way Home

Alas, we have arrived to Tom Holland's third stint as a leading Spider-man. I will keep this short as the movie just recently released. I loved it. I loved every second of it. Its fun, heart-felt and feels like a lot of people came together to make this work. Do you have to watch all the other Spider-men to make this work? I did, but do you have to? Im not sure. Regardless this was a lot of fun.

    5 "with great power...."s out of 5.

  • Hawkeye

I really enjoyed Hawkeye. I wish they gave him something like this earlier in the timeline to really flesh out his character because I like him now more than I ever have and I cant help but feel that his time as Hawkeye is coming to a close sooner rather than later. I feel like people hate on this because they dont like seeing their comfort zone get old and not keep up so good anymore. I loved a bunch…

  • The Matrix Resurrections

    The Matrix Resurrections

The homie Keanu Reeves returns to The Matrix to resurrect a franchise long dead. I thought the first half of this was really interesting playing with the concept of what's real and whats perceived as real. The effects of medication, taking or not taking, and potential mental issues that can arise from mundane daily tasks. Then the movie does a 180 and becomes goofy Matrix whatever that doesn't matter. Lots of guns and bullets with minimal effectiveness. Antagonists that seem to have no motivations. This should've stayed buried.

  • Spider-Man: Far From Home

    Spider-Man: Far From Home

Holland's second solo fim following the events of Endgame. Jake Gyllenhaal is introduced as Mysterio and we see a bit of what transpires in a world after billions of people return to Earth after 5 years. This is a lot of fun, Gyllenhaal is great and very charismatic. I've really liked the villians they have introduced for this Spider-man and am looking forwaed to No Way Home later this month. At this point I'm super biased with Marvel movies. I…

  • Cruella

Emma Stone is a great performer and the birth of Cruella Deville is an interesting concept. I just dont think it hit. Emma's accent is distracting, they should've employed an English actor for the role, but I understand the star power. Im not, nor have ever been a fashionista, therefore I didnt really get invested in their rivalry. I also dont really subscribe to the ideology of "mom's bad therefore kid will be bad." Lebron James tought us this earlier…

  • Jacuzzi

A show about a couple of friends reliving/recreating middle school life in the early 2000's. Season 2 just ended and with that they have announced the conclusion of the show. I didnt relate to the middle school girl situations, but I did relate to emotions of not fitting in, having a foreign background, wanting to be cool, wanting girls to like me. All those things that help and hinder you into the person you become in life. This is a one of a kind look into some very intimate and potentially traumatizing moments in adolescence. I could watch them forever. Definite reccomend.

    Only reviewing Spider-man's role.

He ain't here. Okay, 5 minutes or so, he's fine.

  • Avengers: Infinity War

    Avengers: Infinity War

    Only reviewing Spider-man's role here

Holland again has a limited role in these very crowded Avenger movies and I feel he did really well. He continues to show strength and a strong sense of purpose along with his lack of experience and seeking guidance from role model Tony Stark. He's fun every time he's on screen. Doesn't steal the show this time around, but has one of the most memorable moments in the whole movie, in my opinion.
