    The Relic

I can’t really describe this one without sounding like I thought it was rubbish. It’s decent but I’ll forget about it within a day.
It’s one setting and a monster. We’ve seen it all before and this is just an average take. The set up is basic and I didn’t care for any of the characters, I can’t even remember any of their names. But overall it’s an ok one time watch.

Because of the main characters it’s enjoyable but without them it’s just a generic action film with a bland/silly story. Didn’t really like the set up at the end after all the shit the dude had just done, and no mention of the captain after what happened either. Weakest of the 3 but still decent overall.

  • The Hustle

    The Hustle

Thought this would be shit but it’s certainly watchable, enjoyable even. Yeah it’s a tad repetitive and drawn out but I did get a few laughs out of it, an easy switch your brain off film.

  • The Santa Clause 2

    The Santa Clause 2

A decent sequel despite all the weird shit going on.

  • Call Me Claus

    Call Me Claus

First Christmas film of the year.

Pretty decent for something I'd never even heard of before.

  • Brightburn

The premise is great, the performances are decent and there is some proper gore.
It is good but it's clearly got potential to be a lot better. I can't put my finger on the problems but it's just lacking that special something to make it truly memorable.

  • Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates

Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates

I like all the main 4 but it's not the best film/performance for any of them. The comedy is hit and miss but overall a pretty decent one time watch.

  • The Cabin in the Woods

    The Cabin in the Woods

    Tried before. Got bored.
Today was my 3rd attempt. Finally finished it. Weird film. Still don't know if I really like it or not.

  • 10 to Midnight

    10 to Midnight

First time I've ever seen a Police drama/slasher I think. Certainly not lacking in shock value.

  • The Meg

    The Meg

Takes a while to get going and has some rubbish dialogue. In the end though, the action is decent and the scenery is nice. It's Jason Statham vs a massive shark, I got what I signed up for.

  • The Happytime Murders

    The Happytime Murders

Has its moments and at only 80 minutes it doesn't overstay it's welcome or become repetitive. It's stupid and some jokes don't land at all but I laughed a few times, same as with Sausage Party. Don't hate me.

Pretty good disaster film. The effects have held up well, the first 20-30 minutes which set up the film are superb. It does drag quite a bit as it goes on though and the characters constantly arguing and shouting gets a bit tiresome. I only really cared about the dog anyway so I'm glad he survived.
