How did the police not even see the van on the driveway ffs...ultimately a film with more questions than answers

  • Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers

What is it with these films having good endings and then retconning it at the start of the next one 😂
Have to say Danielle Harris gives really good performances in both Halloween 4 & 5.

  • The Karate Kid Part III

    The Karate Kid Part III

Why is there a constant sound of moving traffic in the background of this film 🤦‍♂️

  • Tales of Halloween

    Tales of Halloween

Sweet Tooth, The Night Billy Raised Hell, Trick. The opening 3 segments and the only ones I really liked. The Pumpkin in the final segment (Bad Seed) was fun but by this point I’d already endured all the stuff in the middle and just wanted it to end. Each segment did capture the Halloween setting very well though.

Charlize Theron in another kick ass role so that makes it enjoyable enough but there’s some problems.
The story and world building wasn’t really explored all that much and none of the characters really stood out, you could have cut half of them out and you wouldn’t notice. The villains were pretty bad too.
The action scenes were good for the most part but some of them were cut all over the place and you could see the characters move…

  • Horse Girl

    Horse Girl

Excellent performance from Alison Brie and some effective music throughout. It held my attention but it’s got a lot of weird stuff going on and even now I’m unsure if I completely dig it or not.

  • Men, Women & Children

    Men, Women & Children

Pretty pointless film which struggles to have any impact. Goes from one character to the next and then some are just never seen again. Most characters have the same issues. It’s a whole load of nothing really.

Would be a 10/5 movie if I could rate it 1 star for every cast member I like though.

  • Little Monsters

    Little Monsters

A comedy horror that's lacking in both departments, it never goes beyond some basic human v zombie fighting, and the comedy only got a few smirks from me.
It's a decent watch and the cast are fine but its predictable from the get go. One I'll forget about once the trailer stops getting shown every 15 minutes.

  • Fractured

Kept me interested and you can see the potential but the way it ends up going is all very basic and predictable. Decent but won't live long in the memory.

  • The Vanishing

    The Vanishing

Completely forgettable. Builds up to a whole load of nothing.

  • Mechanic: Resurrection

    Mechanic: Resurrection

I enjoy Jason Statham films and this is another one full of action and stunts. Some of the locations are beautiful too. The story is basic and the romance felt forced but overall it's decent and what you'd expect.

  • Everly

Straight to the point and full of over the top action/gore. I liked Salma Hayek in this role and did enjoy it for what it was but the film doesn't add up to anything special.
