Powerful and intense. The whole cast are excellent but Will Poulter in particular gives a menacing performance which deserved a lot more recognition. The motel scene, which was a good chunk of the film was uncomfortable to watch due to how real everything looked & felt.
Without doubt Detroit is one of the best films of 2017 and I am shocked that this has not been nominated for any major awards. My only criticism would be that the run time is simply too long, the film loses momentum in the final 30 minutes and could easily have got it's message across with 20 minutes trimmed off.

Funnier than the 1st one. Gibson & Lithgow were great additions.

    *The Final Cut*

The first time I watched this I couldn't even get through it. The visuals are amazing yes but the story is unengaging for the most part. The first hour was still slow and kinda boring but I stuck with it this time and the final act was actually really good. I appreciate it a lot more now but I'm still not blown away by it.

I liked it a lot, the cast are all fantastic. There's been a few similar films in the past few years which have deserved the same amount of praise though.

A unique but ridiculous film. Despite a few unexpected twists something was still lacking. It's a good film that could take you by surprise if you don't know much about it before watching.

    "I'm back, you bastards"

This film seems to have gone under the radar but it is beautifully shot & combines moments of comedy, tragedy and mystery thanks to an excellent central performance from Kate Winslet.

    ★★★

Jigsaw plays it pretty safe all the way through. The reveal at the end is good but obviously far fetched. Nothing groundbreaking but kept me intrigued for 90 minutes.

  • Power Rangers

    Power Rangers

The Power Rangers spend more time talking about Krispy Kreme than being actual Power Rangers

Interesting concept but then goes in to two hours of nothingness

Stallone & Russell team up to kick ass, make rubbish jokes and blow shit up. What more do you want?
