  • The Expendables 3

    The Expendables 3

Not as action packed or violent as the previous two films but as a trilogy it’s consistently entertaining.
This film had a great opening and closing 30 minutes but the middle hour bogged it down as we are randomly introduced to a new set of characters who didn’t add much at all.
Gibson was a great addition but Ford looked a bit bored, Banderas was good but did become annoying.
If we get an Expendables 4 let’s hope we go back to 80s action and cheesy jokes from first to last minute.

  • Holidate

Holidate joins Hubie Halloween & The Babysitter: Killer Queen in getting a 3.5 rating from me. If I had any credibility on here it’s probably gone now.

  • Stitches

Good humour. Over the top kills. Simple but effective comedy horror.

A clown pumps a guys head like a balloon and it explodes. You know you want to watch this film now.

  • My Spy

    My Spy

Enjoyed this one, yes it’s a bit silly but the characters work well together and the jokes are pretty good too.

  • The Babysitter: Killer Queen

    The Babysitter: Killer Queen

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Who knew this could be as much fun as the first film even without Bee 😉

  • Metro

It’s no Beverly Hills Cop but it’s still a good Eddie Murphy action/comedy film. So typically 90s as well, worth checking out.

  • Semi-Pro

    Love me sexyyyyy

  • The Addams Family

    The Addams Family

Low expectations and generally bad reviews did put me off slightly but remembering how good a cast are involved made me want to give it a chance when it dropped on Netflix so soon.

Yes this could have been a lot better but once I got used to the animation style I enjoyed it. It gave me a few chuckles and there was a few cool film references (Matrix, IT....not sure if I missed any others). The voice acting was…

  • The Aristocats

    The Aristocats

First film I’ve watched on Disney+ (really like the PS4 app, very smooth).

One of those films I know I watched during childhood but I remembered hardly anything about it so can’t really count it as a rewatch. That’ll probably happen a lot over the next few weeks with Disney+.

  • The Festival

    The Festival

Watched this one in a packed cinema full of laughing people and really enjoyed it myself as well. I wasn't planning to watch it again so soon but family picked it.

It’s still funny with 3 characters that work well together, but it’s also slightly repetitive with some jokes that just don’t land at all. Some of the side characters are a bit annoying as well. I never found myself really laughing out loud but it kept a smile on…

  • The Hunt

    The Hunt

Enjoyed this one, it’s quite gory and inventive with the kills and also has some funny moments. The story is nothing new but watching Betty Gilpin fuck everyone up is all I’m here for.

  • 21 Bridges

    21 Bridges

This was actually good. Nice tense atmosphere, good action scenes and shootouts with great use of sound. Solid cast, average story but overall an enjoyable thriller which I’d recommend.
