Jingle All the Way 1996
Hilarious. Great soundtrack. Really captures the Christmas season well. Absolute classic.

The Expendables 3 2014
Not as action packed or violent as the previous two films but as a trilogy it’s consistently entertaining.
This film had a great opening and closing 30 minutes but the middle hour bogged it down as we are randomly introduced to a new set of characters who didn’t add much at all.
Gibson was a great addition but Ford looked a bit bored, Banderas was good but did become annoying.
If we get an Expendables 4 let’s hope we go back to 80s action and cheesy jokes from first to last minute. -

Tales of Halloween 2015
Sweet Tooth, The Night Billy Raised Hell, Trick. The opening 3 segments and the only ones I really liked. The Pumpkin in the final segment (Bad Seed) was fun but by this point I’d already endured all the stuff in the middle and just wanted it to end. Each segment did capture the Halloween setting very well though.

Corpse Bride 2005
So begins another October 31 horror/spooky films in 31 days attempt that will probably fail by day 4...

The Karate Kid 1984
Story, setting, characters, soundtrack. It’s classic 80s all over.
I watched this as a kid but my memory of it when watching now was so blank I’m going to count it as a first time watch.
