  • Jingle All the Way

    Jingle All the Way

Arnie making some jokes. Christmas festivities and music. Nostalgia. Combine all that for an underrated Christmas classic.

  • Funny Cow

    Funny Cow

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

It has a few funny moments but definitely don't expect a full on comedy, this is a drama that doesn't hold back. Good production design gives a very authentic feel. Good cast all round and a terrific central performance from Maxine Peake.
Stephen Graham's 2nd character was like a 2 minute scene which didn't add much, and because we go back and forth between time periods this was a bit confusing at first.

  • The Santa Clause 2

    The Santa Clause 2

A decent sequel despite all the weird shit going on.

  • Borg vs McEnroe

    Borg vs McEnroe

The story is told well and I'm sure even non tennis fans can get something out of it. The cast are good and it felt authentic.
It focuses more on Borg's life and struggles rather than the actutal rivalry with McEnroe. There's probably a lot more that could have been explored but the final match scenes are superbly done, even if you already know the outcome.

  • Klaus

The animation is done beautifully and I give it credit for some originality but honestly I found it quite boring. The story is basic and quite drawn out, I didn't like any of the characters and it was lacking that magical something.

  • 6 Underground

    6 Underground

A promising start with plenty of action, but the story is all over the place, the jokes are stupid and the editing may give you a headache.

  • Knives Out

    Knives Out

Brilliant film. All star cast, intriguing story told from different perspectives with plenty of twists. One of the best for 2019.

  • Deck the Halls

    Deck the Halls

Mildly amusing for the first part of the film. Then the characters really start to get annyoying, the battle between the two is stupidly over the top and the laughs dry up completely.

Won't be watching this one again.

  • Rambo: Last Blood

    Rambo: Last Blood

Pretty standard revenge story elevated by the fact it's John Rambo and the kills are gruesome as fuck.

  • Call Me Claus

    Call Me Claus

First Christmas film of the year.

Pretty decent for something I'd never even heard of before.

  • All the Money in the World

All the Money in the World

A well paced thriller with a great cast and a story that kept me intrigued from start to finish.

  • Timecop

90s action with cheesy dialogue. It's all I want sometimes*
