  • Happy Christmas

    Happy Christmas

This was so bland and uneventful. Would be exactly the same film if set at any time of the year as well, all we see is a few decorations.

  • Trapped in Paradise

    Trapped in Paradise

This is proper silly but it has its funny moments and some charm. I like the snowy town setting and 90s Christmas feel. The 3 main characters are all good together but it does get a bit lost with all its stupidity and it is definitely too long. After an hour it became a slog to finish so it certainly won't go down as Christmas favourite of mine but it's worth a one time watch.

  • Rocky IV

    Rocky IV

Drago gets away with murder and then for the next hour it's like a long music video with loads of montage stuff. It all felt very repetitive and a step down from the previous films.

  • Peter Rabbit

    Peter Rabbit

Rey giving General Hux a wet willy...yeah it's a bit strange in places but some bits were fun too. Rose Byrne is a delight.

  • Rocky II

    Rocky II

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Pretty much the same as the original but with a better result at the end for Rocky. A worthy sequel and every bit as iconic.

  • The House with a Clock in Its Walls

The House with a Clock in Its Walls

Cate Blanchett's magic umbrella gun thing might be the best thing I've seen all year.

  • Skyscraper

Completely forgettable film. Everything is so predictable and unrealistic. If The Rock wasn't in it I definitely wouldn't have stuck around until the end.

  • The Christmas Chronicles

    The Christmas Chronicles

Don't even care that I just watched a Christmas film in November and loved it. Kurt Russell is magic. It's fun and full of heart, one for the whole family to enjoy.

  • GoldenEye

"I know he's got a licence to kill but has he got a licence to drive a tank?"

This is what my Dad asked during this film.

  • The Predator

    The Predator

It's like Venom where I can see why a lot of people don't like it but I was able to switch off and just enjoy it for what it is. Of course when it was first released we were hoping for something great so it's a shame we didn't get that.

The film gets off to a rocky start, there's too much different shit going on and it takes quite a while to settle down as it jumps from one…

  • The Equalizer 2

    The Equalizer 2

Some good action scenes and really great moments of tension are scattered throughout but the build up is a bit too slow and some of the other stuff going on just felt unnecessary and repetitive.
The bookcase mirror was probably my standout scene and the final showdown was pretty great as well. Denzel is great once again and it is a good film overall but I preferred the first one.

  • Con Air

    Con Air

Once found it too corny and stupid to even finish it. Gave it another chance and what an absolute blast. Strange how feelings can change so much from one viewing to the next.
