some of the shots in this were absolutely gorgeous. i think my expectations for how their romance would develop were far from met, though. still pretty steamy, but the choice to omit the bed sex scenes was insulting. barely any men in this was great. looked way more modern than late 18th century, but that could've been because of few characters. fave character was Sophie.
