  this is a movie where everyone treats magical "tools" as deadly serious objects of lethal power, but also as things it's probably fine to pick up and take with you if you put a plastic bag over your hand, so basically a cross between radioactive material and literal dog shit. this is a far more intelligent treatment of the subject than you'll get from basically any other director

  CERTIFIED HALLOWEEN CLASSICK. imo, the most truly in love with filmmaking rob has been since 1000 corpses. every image saturated with color and feeling, a great artist making something immensely corny with no shame and the utmost sincerity. a movie with no villain except the concept of white amerikkkan suburbia. a movie that makes you glad they're still making the damn things. thank you!!!!!
