As usual, top-tier cinematography, lighting, soundtrack, and action sequences, but I’m glad this series is finally over because I just do not care about the character John Wick - I just like the pretty lights and music 🐱

Thunder 1982
abuse is a permanent cycle, the kind that rides slowly behind you down every dark street and parks in every shadowed alley
the sound of its chains is unmistakeable - a sound you’ll never forgetyou can’t erase the eyes that follow you by goring your own
…when every innocent glance in your direction becomes a threat
has this become self-preservation or self-destruction? -

That Which Will Rise from Wind 2020
Incredible that this film can accomplish in 4 minutes what most horror movies can’t accomplish in 100.

Portrait of a Lady on Fire 2019
Dreamland Cinema screening at the Thistle Dew Dessert Theatre in Sacramento
furtive glances and futile hopes
A beautiful film that’s exquisitely shot and incredibly crushing. Captures the stifled longing of queer romance really well. I found the painting scenes extremely satisfying, the actresses were wonderful, and the emotional charge it carries was electrifying.
