Once again, I do see the inspiration from taxi driver, king of comedy and whatnot. But that's the nature of creativity, to take elements and create your own thing. I think it's wild that we got such a "high art" style comic book film, and not sure we'll see something like this again until joker 2. It sounds dumb but it's true. The acting, score, and cinematography is breathtaking. The script is kinda bad sometimes. But overall this is a great film deserving of the awards it got imo.
