Swiss Army Man 2016
really glad i gave this one a reevaluation!! i think i always liked it but on this watch the fairly obvious message of "it's about depression, hank is literally reanimating a once-dead part of himself through manny" really clicked into place. and i was much more primed to marvel at the production design! astounding. it's like if michel gondry made Castaway. and the score is SO good, hot damn. read that a lot of the songs were composed before shooting,…

Avatar: The Way of Water 2022
After eight viewings of Avatar: The Way of Water, I can finally say I’ve spent 24 hours on Pandora.
(And if I could only watch this movie on repeat for the rest of my life, I would.)

80 for Brady 2023
The thing you need to know about 80 for Brady is that it defies any star rating

All Dogs Go to Heaven 1989
Charming and enjoyable with an incredibly heartfelt story and rubbery and flexible animation. Undoubtedly Don Bluth’s weakest work of his peak era, but still a good time regardless.

Babe: Pig in the City 1998
A strange, magical, and downright endearing experience. Easily the most underrated family film of its time. Adore this thing to pieces.

Charlie's Angels 2019
Despite some moments of earnest chemistry and energetic direction, this is such a bore. One of the most passionless, joyless, and most empty movies I have ever seen in the modern world. I know Elizabeth Banks is a very talented and incredibly funny woman, so what went wrong here is beyond me…..

Dumb and Dumber 1994
Easily the most rewatchable and quotable comedy of the 90s. I can know every joke coming, I can quote every bit of dialogue, and I still find myself in tears of laughter at certain points. Such a comedic staple. Mental’s death is the funniest death in any comedy ever.

YouTube video review - Click HEREAfter her mother goes missing, a young woman tries to find her from home, using tools available to her online.
Apologies for a fairly inactive January on here. 2023 has been rough so far, but let’s talk about my favorite movie of the year (at this point) in Missing. Searching was an absolute gem, even though it seemed as if the formula had reached it’s limits prior to releasing. Unfriended was…
