I so badly wanted to enjoy this movie, it should be right up my alley on paper. It involves a heist in LA, boasts a good cast, a competent stunt crew, and a director working in his medium. Despite all that it had going for it, I just kept getting pulled out my immersion. Can someone please take away drone shots from Michael Bay? There are like 20 too many drone shots in this one. Weak dialogue, weak plot, and weak pacing in the third act mean that I most likely will never give this movie another shot

Monkey Business 1952
I really enjoyed the first two thirds or so of this movie. I found that the chemistry shared between the leads was incredible and that they portrayed the deep romance of a long-married couple superbly. Marilyn Monroe and Charles Coburn are tremendous in their roles as well. This movie had everything going for it, until the incredibly racist final act started. Light in the Piazza 1962
Not what I expected. A really difficult premise to work with but this film is surprisingly filled with so much warmth, kindness, and love - not to mention the beautiful Italian backdrop. A really sweet film that people should give a chance to.
