Todd Gaines’s review published on Letterboxd:
The shot of Max von Sydow coming to save the day is where it is at.
It is crazy this was my first viewing. However, I soaked it in, and I enjoyed the living hell out of my viewing experience. The final 20 minutes are so much fun. The expression on Lee J Cobb’s face at the end is priceless. I haven’t loved green goo this much since Ghostbusters. Mercedes McCambridge’s demon voice is unforgettable. Linda Blair or Danny Lloyd? Who is the better child actor?
Also, Jason Miller’s Father Karras owns every scene he’s in. I’ll definitely check out some more of his films.
Now, maybe one day, I’ll finally watch The Godfather: Part II.
