"Nah, I've seen good. You ain't it."
A second viewing of Moonlight took me away. Submerged me within its poetry, every moment fierce with emotion. This film needs no more than a glance to portray the beauty of a loving gaze; no more than a grin to tell the tale of a thousand smiles. A free tear, hidden in a tangled existence torn between times, torn between people. Consistent traits within such strong character progression does so much justice to the concept of life, of growing up and changing - or maybe, not really changing at all. Bravo, Barry Jenkins. And encore.
