Had to sit on this one for a while to process it. Ma is carried on Octavia Spencer’s over qualified shoulders, without her this would be a lifetmovie at best. It’s good don’t get me wrong, but I think it’s missing the some creativity in the kills department to endear it to the hardcore horror audience it’s trying to play to. 

*Points to them for giving us gratuitous male nudity instead of boobs every five minutes like we’ve come to expect . Somebody had to do it I suppose. Not you David DeCoteau
