  The first half is way better than the second but that dancing in the dark scene is fun, come on, you know it. Pretty formulaic and I didn’t like the teen actors, Bradley coopers son is pretty bad. Overall feels like a pretty average movie

  Didn’t disappoint one bit. Extremely impressed by the bomb test scene being shot with practical effects and by the landscape shots around the Los Alamos site. That series of scenes was only rivaled by Strauss’s unraveling at the end for me, love a good meltdown of a power-greedy self important politician. Also found it cool that Kennedy was instrumental in Oppenheimer keeping his clearance and Albert Einstein was chill as hell. 
  PS: I am become death, destroyer of worlds…such a sick line

  2001: A Space Odyssey 1968

  I can definitely see why people regard this movie as a masterpiece. The effects they were able to pull off in 1968 for this are incredible and all the iconic shots are iconic deservedly so. Half star off for the score (this particular orchestral music was not my thing) and was going to say pacing but looking back the slow pacing is probably very intentional. Awesome watch.

  I already like this franchise even more than I should and there’s only 1 movie. Only I reason I took off a half star is this feels like it’s just part 1 to something a lot bigger which is great but I would’ve liked it to have been a bit more self contained. RIP my boy Duncan Idaho
