Tim Daugherty’s review published on Letterboxd:
The underlying Covid theme in “Sick” is just lazy and uninspired. Reduced to lame gags about Fauci and Masks. A shame because there’s plenty to satirize about what transpired in 2020 in terms of our Covid response. The fear, isolation, distrust and divisions. Horror films should be ripe to take it on….but this ain’t the movie to do it.
There’s a 30 minute segment in the middle where all the Covid nonsense is dropped and a decent predator+prey chase occurs as it weaves in and out of several different sets. It's not enough to salvage the film but it kept me from turning it off....in hindsight I should've nuked it before that final half hour of exposition kick in.
