Lakeith!! Kaluuya!!

this has stayed with me a lot since I’ve seen it, it really is that great. Lakeith takes on a excruciatingly difficult role to play and he does it excellently. Kaluuya devours the screen. the whole supporting cast is incredible, everyone does their role fully on beat.
It’s a incredibly elegant film, in the spirit of old 70’s Hollywood - excellent soundtrack, discreet yet stylish and deeply effective cinematography, the whole thing just feels like a sort of miracle - a high budget studio movie about such profound and complicated themes made in such an accessible and entertaining way without ever compromising what it has to show and say!
one of the best American films of recent years
