Am I being flirted with by a psychotic rat?
This is such an accessible film. I feel like anybody could sit down and have a great time with this. Wes Anderson always puts forth his best quality, but Fantastic Mr. Fox is perhaps his most earnest outing. The film is supported by some great voice acting. The delivery from each actor is absolutely perfect. This may be my favourite Willem Dafoe performance, aside from maybe Green Goblin. Alexandre Desplat's theme is the icing on the cake. Finally, I'd be remiss if I failed to appreciate the extensive work of the animation and effects departments. I've always been partial to effects that look real to an extent, even if they're not quite as sharp as their CG counterparts. Watching this film was a treat.
