The Guardians are still a lovable bunch of misfits, the soundtrack is still incredible, Baby Groot is cute, I love Peter´s search for his identity and the whole found family vs biological family theme, and the ending always makes me tear up. But all in all, I don´t find “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” as funny and entertaining as the first movie. The story is quite messy, many jokes don´t work for me, there are some pacing issues and I am neither a fan of the villains nor of the end fight.
Nevertheless, I look forward to seeing more adventures of the Guardians in the future.
