Thomas Williams’s review published on Letterboxd:
I'm not sure if there is anything wrong with this film although I do believe the third and final chapter is a bit weaker than the preceeding two.
It is powerfully true, heartfelt and genuine. It is a simple story but there is nothing simple about Moonlight. "In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue."
Director Barry Jenkins is a talent. Marershla Ali and Naomie Harris deserve recognition from the Academy. Moonlight is one of the year's very best.
