great for the most part but kinda relies on the big revelation at the end knocking you off your feet so hard you ignore how rushed and unsatisfying of an ending it actually is.

    still, m. night rules.

“If God is a loving God he will forgive us himself. If God is a vengeful God then he has made us in his own image.”

Name a more aptly named film.

I think I’m going to need to read the book.

How far can the lengths of human compassion stretch? Are we fueled by cynicism or optimism? How is the moral compass of humanity truly aligned?

    M. Night asks a lot of questions in his newest film and leaves everything relatively open for the audience to fill in the blanks themselves. There are certain parts that work and others that seem to work a little less.

Regardless of how you feel about the plot, the acting and cinematography reaches the upper…

bro really snuck a camera into his nightmare.

watched it on my laptop, with headphones, with all the lights off. it is currently 1:39 am as of writing this sentence. shudder was playing up and kept buffering so there was a point with about 20 minutes left where i had to wait several minutes, and upon restarting it i had to have my phone torch on - i actually couldn't take it anymore. as soon as it ended, i obviously…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

My boy delivers! His best movie since old. You can really see shaymalan is in his renaissance and is making movies about loving families but that are also fucked up. I think Old is the better film and has a more interesting concept but I like the simplicity of this one.

Split is so damn good that the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that it’s technically a franchise film that didn’t really have to be. I can only imagine seeing this on opening weekend and the revelation that this is a loose sequel to Unbreakable before spoiler culture ruined that for everyone. Beyond that, Split is such an engrossing thriller that captures more below the surface. Shyamalan dives into a nuanced view of the horrors of child abuse…

Possibly Nolan's best movie. The way in which they tell you about the movie is spectacular and the ending is wonderful, without a doubt one of the best movies of all time. 10/10

i would do anything to gift this film to myself as a kid, though thankfully i'm finding myself pursuing the thing i love irrespective of not having this film until now.

every single second of this is pouring with so much love and i not-so-secretly adore wholehearted, unapologetic, earnest sentimentality and optimism. never fails to get me.

i only found the ending slightly underwhelming because i was so engrossed in it that my conception of time disappeared and i was…
