Letterboxd — Your life in film

Look, I'm someone that likes gore and violence in movies and media but I honestly felt uncomfortable by the blood and gore in this.

Cool story and perspective of the Holocaust that schools didn't really teach us about.

Glad I watched this at home and not in the theater when it came out. Some asshole would've ruined it.

Straight white conservative cis 40+ men would love this movie.

I applaud Spielberg on the cinematography, use of practical effects, stunts and music used in this. Now besides that I feel like the story drags on a smidge towards the last third of the movie. The characters in this also don't feel very memorable or iconic as pop culture lends them to be. I will watch it again but not in the immediate future, maybe a few years from now

I mean it was good and had good effects for the time but cmon this is a movie about nuns in The Himalayas that are lowkey racist.

These proves Linklater can make a film on any topic. As someone that isn't pro military and believes it should be defunded to a degree, I felt a sense of respect watching this movie the three main leads give great performances for their roles. You can especially tell that Cranston enjoy the role he played. I didn't feel like I'd enjoy this but I was glued to the story and wanted to see the journey these characters went on. Would definitely recommend.

Daddy David what happened man. So much potential

This is borderline so bad it's good territory and bad bad territory. The editing and cuts in this is such ass. Robin feels like characterchur of himself. John Travolta is just post 2003 John Travolta. C'mon guys this is just your 00s bad family comedy in a nutshell.

This is videogame dialogue bad like c'mon DC. All the characters in this feel so cardboard and one note. I felt like I was watching two non theater people read script dialogue.
