james gunn just single-handedly saved the marvel cinematic universe with this one. wow. just fucking wow. tears were shed. 4 rounds of tears, i was a mess in that theater.

the action scenes!!! will never recover from them. soundtrack was top tier. villain was batshit enough that i hated him but not so much that i cringed. just perfect.

man, i didn't realize how much i missed the guardians.

halfway through this, my mom turned over to me and told me i've been living in a tv show all my
life.

comedies are hard for me to get into sometimes but this had my attention the whole time even with its chaos. i loved it. omg and the shifts between comedic and dramatic moments throughout the film were so seamless 

also i watched this not knowing at all what it was going to be about and i feel like i just completed an AP Macroeconomics course

what the fuck
