"It was the only way"
Now, this is a surprise! It just feels so grand and cataclysmic. There's a feeling to it; I haven't felt this since I first saw Gandalf throw down with the Balrog in The Two Towers. It's entirely built to be grand and be exceptionally well at it. It is THE blockbuster. One where the big baddie literally hurls a fucking moon at our heroes. Of course it aims to be big. It just defines BIG. Avengers: Infinity War is endlessly fun because of how outrageously big it really gets, and I just have a big stupid grin on my face while watching it.
All roads lead to here folks -- we're in the Endgame now.
