Was forced to watch this in English class one time after reading the book. The teacher admitted she'd never seen it herself and thought it would be cool for us to all see it for the first time at once so we could go and tell our families about how "she made a cinema for us". We sure did go and tell people about the movie. She quit at the end of the term

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Cap's origin story out of everyone's. Like, Iron Man and Thor were blessed with the power of money/gods respectively, but Cap begins with exactly nothing except a good attitude that men of the time rarely had due to the harsh reality of war. It's an oddly wholesome origin story handled well overall. The pacing feels weird sometimes; the movie feels like it's gonna come to a close like three times…

Biggest thing that lets this down is its pacing and plot especially around the Earth bits, with the Jane romance being incredibly rushed and dooming her to an MCU's worth of time as a forgotten and near-pointless character. Every time that stuff happens I guess I was sorta waiting for it to get back to Asgard and Thor himself, but man, those bits are so much better than some give them credit for. As early as this you see Thor's potential for comedy and yeah, of course Tom Hiddleston steals the show. A real mixed bag, but I enjoy this more than a lot of people.
