Permanent Vacation

Permanent Vacation

But what’s a story anyway, except one of those connect-the-dots drawings that in the end forms a picture or something?

Love Jim Jarmusch, but yikes... his debut film was not very good. I can forgive Permanent Vacation for being subpar from a technical aspect, since it was a student film, however, I find it incredibly difficult to believe that there was nobody else who could have done a better job as the lead actor. Chris Parker was terrible!

Everyone is alone. That’s why I just drift, you know? People think it’s crazy. But it’s better to think that you’re not alone, you know, when you’re drifting, even though you are, instead of just knowing that you’re alone all the time.
