    On the last night of over 100 days of lockdown, a film called Free Guy seemed incredibly appropriate. Coming into this with the weight of some mixed hype, I was surprised and delighted to discover it was, well, fine. Following an opening lifted straight from The LEGO Movie, it's kind of The Truman Show by way of Wreck-It-Ralph. Of course, reducing it to 'x-meets-y' phrases is a great disservice to some genuinely fun sequences, albeit ones that tread a fairly familiar path.

    This marks the 175th and final film of #isolife2021. See you in the next lockdown.

    I'm still not sure if this was an indictment of toxic masculinity or an exemplar of its prevalence, but man - those camera angles and edits. It's definitely one of the more stylish manga adaptations of recent memory, but it's seriously weird, man.
