Shane McAvoy’s review published on Letterboxd:
Watched the first half crossing my arms thinking this was another dull A24 exercise in creating gifs for tumblr. Also it was really hot and my mask was particularly uncomfortable today.
But the second half won me over. Loved the ending. Made me reconsider the rest of the film. Loved that this ultimately had a sense of humor about itself. Dev Patel was great. Cool dude.
Had to run back into the theater because I dropped my sunglasses and two guys were still sitting there with the lights on talking about “the honor in accepting your fate” while the staff was cleaning the theater. Found my sunglasses. All good.
