Shane McAvoy’s review published on Letterboxd:
These movies are well shot. Rian Johnson knows how to construct a set piece and structurally the script has a lot of fun riffing on your expectations from the first film. Daniel Craig is so good in this role. Some of the jokes are cute and pay off well. Some are very annoying (the targets are so easy). The biggest laugh for me came from the dumbest joke (Dave Bautista having a google alert for the word “movie”). Also pretty funny to cast Bautista as some hybrid Dan Bilzerian/Mike Cernovich figure. It’s fine. It’s no The Last of Sheila.
Unrelated, but if I have to see the trailer for Spoiler Alert or My Name is Otto again imma kms.
