There's very few movies that make me feel like the director made a movie for myself, and Licorice Pizza is one of those rare occasions. The film is obviously well directed, as is the case with every Paul Thomas Anderson film I've seen, but what really makes this such a wonderful experience are Alana and Gary. Those two are great characters, and the actors played by Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman have perfect chemistry with each other. They perfectly capture the confusing and amateur feeling of young love so well.

I really don't know what else to say, I'm truly blown away by what I've seen. Licorice Pizza is pure movie magic, and it's without a doubt the best movie of the year. You need to see it as soon as possible, it's absolutely worth it.
