Not as good as first one

It’s so refreshing seeing a director attempt something new instead of the same repetitive, simple, and unoriginal films being made today. Lowery does well at creating something new, but a lot of this left me lost and unsatisfied. I can see what was being attempted, but I felt as if it wasn’t executed properly. Despite this, lots of great moments, especially the cinematography which was breathtaking on a 4k screen.

Incredible cinematography and performances, but I didn’t feel connected to it at all. Might be another Mirror situation where I need to rewatch, but I don’t feel there is as much to unpack here.

A mix between Zootropolis and Eraserhead.

Wow you really need to pay attention to this to really get anything out of it. However, I did not pay attention to it. I will rewatch to try and see where people are coming from when they say this is Kurosawa's best.
