Hooptober 6 - Grab Your Crucifix
"Lets get high... what a rush" - Krueger while battling badass teen Taryn
Hands down the best sequel of the franchise. Based on the creativeness of the deaths and the fact Krueger's backstory is enhanced through Doctor Gordons meetings with Sister Mary Helena aka Amanda Krueger & Lt. Thompson I'd personally rank this as an equal to the original. It really helped Wes Craven came back for story duties after having no involvement with the previous sequel, as did John Saxon as Lt. Thompson and Heather Langenkamp as Nancy (now sporting a Bride of Frankenstein gray streak).
I've seen this movie so many times, I know all the dialog and the "1, 2 Freddy's coming for you" rhyme, I even know the timestamp of the big boobed hot nurse scene with Joey (probably the less said about that the better). Age hasn't been great with some of the effects like that 'Jason and the Argonauts' like skeletal fight scene between John Saxon and Freddy's bones, but the movies still a blast and so much more entertaining than pretty much every slasher movie released after it.
