Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023

My favorite of the guardians movies. Such a deep and satisfying film. While also being fun and funny in all the right ways. Rocket is an all-time great character.

This was enjoyable overall. There’s not much to the plot. The movie primarily focuses on jokes. Overall, I think it succeeds. The penguins were my favorite part.

This was worse than F9. This movie drove me crazy. It’s terrible.

Cheesy 80s fun. Not much of a plot. But the animation holds up. The music is awesome as well.

I’m being way more lenient on this one for nostalgic reasoning and how I always loved the look of the killer of this movie. That said, this is a subpar early 2000s slasher movie that while being a throwback to 80s movies of the subgenre and also a mix of 90s horror whodunnits like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, it does not even compare given its lack of charm. Boring and unlikable protagonists really bring this one down.

I used to cite this as the worst Bond movie, but that has to go to Spectre. That film was supposed be a return to more classic Bond-isms and a sillier tone, but I just remember it being needlessly dark and depressing. Like to the point where it just wasn’t exciting anymore. This, on the other hand, is as silly as they come. Most of the time that’s to a fault, but these days, I’ll take silly Bond over uneventful,…

Brilliant martial arts drama with great fights, cinematography, and acting. It is a bit long and needed some editing and a female lead who does more. The ending was bittersweet but other than that it works.

  • Rosaline

Watched one last time before Disney stupidly removes this from Hulu and it’s unavailable potentially permanently. Feel so bad for the creators that there work is being wiped from existence

  • Rescue from Gilligan's Island

    ★★★ Rewatched by Jonathan Rodriguez 26 May 2023 1

While low budget and Ginger being replaced in the cast the rest of the film has it's moments. The jokes are not offensive, the cast is still charming and the plot is different than the show.I've seen worse adaptations of films based on tv shows.

  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023

    Brandon Wettig

★★★★ Watched by Brandon Wettig 03 May 2023

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is the best MCU movie since Endgame. Where the majority of the MCU these days feel like simple stepping stones for the next MCU product, this movie felt genuine. It was emotional, it was exciting, it was heartfelt and it felt like it had a vision! While the 1st act had pacing issues, and the villain might not be the most interesting, this movie was extremely entertaining and got me completely emotionally invested. Something the MCU hasn't done in some time.
