Alien Resurrection - 5/10
I used to quite like this nearer the time of release. It does not age well. It gets worse with every viewing.
Paper thin characters, lazily written plot, sexist dialogue, roaring Xeno's etc...
Weaver is horrendous as well, hamming it up, looking like she wants to have sex with everything. I like to think she realised how terrible the script was so she purposefully played her role in a farcical manner in order to distance this 'new Ripley' from the iconic Ripley in Alien 1-3.
Ghost Stories - 8/10
A well written, finely crafted British horror film which is genuinely creepy. It feels like such a long time since we've had a film like this. I think any horror enthusiast who grew up on 70's/80's horror will enjoy it.

The most impressive juggling act of all time. It should be a convoluted, overly-busy mess but it has obviously been meticulously planned by the Russo's. This is without doubt one of the most ambitious blockbusters ever made and every single risk they've taken has paid off.
