I love this sequel. With the sinister red light creeping into reality and a tense, memorable score, this film captures an eerie vibe that’s signature to this series. It’s just so hot! And, yes I mean that in a literal sense but also, come on, it’s the infamously gay Nightmare movie, it’s also plenty hot. Fire makes its way back into the Freddy mythology in a big way, and even if a story focusing on possession allows for less inventive scenes than the previous film, I love what they do with cinematography. The ending could be better but man I really appreciate this underrated classic.
