    American Animals

I can't say I've ever seen any heist film like this one, though.

The thing that sets this film apart from the others in its genre is just how REAL everything becomes by the time we watch these college kids, all aimless and without a clue, try to chase their dream through the most devious way possible.

The film itself grows-up as we go, as we open with a sense of style and editing that is snappy and fast-paced. The…

  • Victoria

The film is shot in one single long take - 2 hours and 20 Minutes long, but this isn't just a party trick. It's a whole different way to experience a story.

This thing can’t even be called a movie, watching this is an amazing real-time experience. This movie is an absolute masterpiece, from the beginning until the end I’m constantly in awe of this movie.

Masterclass acting, excellent score, and superbly mind-blowing cinematography. Probably one of the best I’ve…

  • The Fault in Our Stars

    The Fault in Our Stars

I went into this movie not having read the book and not knowing anything more than the overall plot. I really like to see good love story, especially a story without an obvious storyline and cliches. The pain and emotions felt by the characters felt so real, as if I was feeling the same emotions.

Though this was THE SADDEST movie I have ever seen, it was also one of the most beautiful, and heart-warming movie I've seen.

  • First Man

    First Man

This is one of my favorite movie of the year. Damien Chazelle once again proves that he is one of the best filmmaker working today. Superbly directed and acted, Ryan Gosling gives an amazing performance in this movie. His nuanced depiction of Neil Armstrong shows the audience how much the astronaut has to lose if he does not survive such a journey. Claire Foy is also worth mentioning as Armstrong's wife Janet. Her concern and worry for her husband's safe…

  • Molly's Game

    Molly's Game

I was absolutely mesmerized by this tale of Molly, a woman who was obsessed at being the best at anything she did whether that was Olympic skiing or controlling the underworld of high stakes Poker.

Jessica Chastain is incredible as Molly. She makes the character feel real and helps us to understand the motivations clearly behind Molly's actions. And her chemistry with Idris Elba is one of my favorite thing of this movie.

And of course, Aaron Sorkin's script is amazing, also for a first time director, he absolutely did a very great job with this movie.

  • It Comes at Night

    It Comes at Night

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself"

Note this before you watch it : IT IS NOT A HORROR MOVIE.
But it's a suspenseful, thrilling, beautiful and a well-made movie. As you watch you immediately get a sense of isolation and loneliness. The world that the main characters are living in is empty and very quiet.

The cinematography is absolutely perfect in helping to really create an eerie, dark environment. The performances, character building and writing here are also worked really well for me.

  • 12 Angry Men

    12 Angry Men

No guns, no bombs, no car chases, but I'm on the edge of my seat from the beginning until the end of the movie. Simple but great.

If you never watch a black and white movie, let this one be your first.

  • The Shining

    The Shining

The Shining is one of those films that never ages.

It's creepy from the very first scene, and just keeps on building the tension. It's a great blend of atmospheric and psychological horror with also a fair amount of visual/graphic scenes. It all works well together and Nicholson gives a very strong performance.

  • Revenge

The best action film I’ve seen this year. It was a wild and entertaining movie with a strong lead female character. The movie was really original (filmmaking wise) and has a very very nice camera work during the action scenes.

I beg you to watch this film.

  • Operation Avalanche

    Operation Avalanche

I loved this movie so much. The characters were well written, the directions were handled very well, the storyline was very very good.

Although it has some logical problems, I don’t care. For a conspiracy theory fans, this movie is exactly for you.

  • Lady Bird

    Lady Bird

One of my favorite movie of all time. Very realistic, well made plot, heart warming, well directed, well performed, it’s just flawless.

  • The Greatest Showman

    The Greatest Showman

One of my favorites of the year. Such a powerful movie with great soundtracks.
