  • Bumblebee

This was the movie we all so desperately needed from the franchise. Great action, great characters, great story. I'm glad they took a totally different road than the garbage Bay was filling his movies with that got old too fast.
For the negative, the love interest and family dynamic feel forced and is not handled well with a lack of chemistry. The dialogue is basic and most of the jokes are what you would expect from a Transformers movie. The villains are generic.

Overall, this movie is okay. Go see it if you want to.

  • Project Almanac

    Project Almanac

I like the movie not because of the interesting story nor the filmmaking aspects of it. Well in fact, the movie failed in both of those things. They used ‘found-footage’ as an excuse for a shitty camera work and with ‘time travel’ , they could’ve went into so much more interesting stories rather than just going into a concert they missed 3 months ago or passing a test at school last week.

But what I like is that the movie…

  • The Grand Budapest Hotel

    The Grand Budapest Hotel

This is probably one of the most artistic looking movie I have ever seen. It's very inventive, funny, and sweet.

But unfortunately I don't find the movie plot to be interesting nor entertaining. Let alone the characters, they were well acted but I just don't care about them at all.

  • Moonlight

I really wanted to like this movie. Reading all the reviews and 8 Oscar nominations builds my good expectations. But it turns out not as good as I thought it would be (story-wise).

I could barely contain my restlessness in these two hours. The dialogue in this movie didn't bear any importance which makes me difficult to get to know the characters, let alone like them or care for them.

But filmmaking wise, the camera technique, cinematography, and the score were absolutely incredible. It is a very beautiful looking movie with detailed thinking on it's every shot.

  • Conor McGregor: Notorious

    Conor McGregor: Notorious

I like it anyway because I'm a huge fan of McGregor. But honestly, there's nothing new you can find from this documentary. And it used a lot of recycled footage.

  • As Above, So Below

    As Above, So Below

The first 1 hour of this movie was damn awful and boring. Filled with many unexplained sub-plots and unimportant stories.

But when they started to get into the tomb, it was pretty intense and suspenseful. The 'tomb' atmosphere helped a lot on creating tension and scariness in this movie.

  • First Reformed

    First Reformed

This movie is so strange.. I don’t get it, honestly.
It just begs itself to be hate.

Nevertheless, I think it’s unique and refreshing to watch, a movie which tells a story that never been brought into the big screen before.

Top class performance from Ethan Hawke, mesmerizing cinematography.

But sometimes the pacing drags a which might bored the audience.

  • The Ritual

    The Ritual

This is actually quite good and quite suspenseful. The monster looks ridiculous tho i’m not gonna lie.

  • Circle

Minimalistic thriller drama. An entertaining 90 minutes movie of people talking and yelling.

  • Pitch Perfect 3

    Pitch Perfect 3

A guilty pleasure for me. It has the best riff-off out of the three movies. I didn’t like the ending part but after all, if you’re a fan of the franchise as I am, you’ll get what you wanted.

  • A Star Is Born

    A Star Is Born

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga were incredible in this movie. Great musics and storyline, but certain plot points were forced which makes the ending doesn’t feel earned.

  • Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

    Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

A movie with dinosaurs in it. Still a bit of fun.
