Really great animation, although the aesthetics get a little too hyperactive for my tastes. I just wish that the animation was paired with a film that doesn't follow a typical superhero origin story. It's self aware that it's giving Miles a textbook origin narrative, with some multiverse stuff thrown in the mix, but I had the whole film figured out pretty early on in the movie and continued to watch it just because I liked the animation.

I never thought I would see Jackie Chan dressed in drag beating up a man who was trying to woo him.
But here we are and I'm glad I did.
There are amazing sequences in this film. The score is awesome. Brad Pitt is charming. Tobey Maguire is great. The cinematography and production design are top notch.
But...
- It's WAY too long.
- The characters are mostly uninteresting.
- It loses steam after about an hour.
