you guys ever get the feeling rich people are stupid or am i the only one? johnson remains a pretty strong structural genre engineer with basically zero feel for how to weave the easy, heavy-handed points he wants to make into comedy. also, i might be misremembering the original but there's no reason for this to take an hour to get started (and almost 90 minutes to actually reveal the only interesting decision it makes, only to eventually circle back to the obvious one anyone who has seen a movie before should see coming a mile away), or to have as many cameos as it does. i also feel there has to be a less expensive way for him to reassure us that he's just like us than making a movie where daniel craig plays among us over zoom. only real worthwhile performance in this is bautista as joe rogan.
