It’s hard to account for recency bias in saying something this definite, and surely someone will want to start a useless argument or hold resentment against the movie because they disagree, but I think this is one of my favorite movies I have ever seen. It’s been a while since I felt that way with something new. But my expectations were high going in and I still thought so 30 minutes in. Then an hour in. Then 2 hours in.…

this movie is about climate change. or at least the root of it is, i think it just became “miscellaneous sci-fi war” somewhere in the process

great alien design!! sam richardson should've been in way way way way more of this movie but him repeatedly yelling "shit" on the stairwell got me. nothing about this movie makes even a lick of sense and that's fine. i built a shelf while watching it!

The movie’s biggest downfall is that every time Angelina Jolie shows up on screen I immediately think “hey look that’s Angelina Jolie”

But man I loved it. Saw some reviews saying it was 90s bargain bin status like somehow that’s a condemnation. Movie fuckin kicked ass.

I think literally every scene topped the previous one. I cannot emphasize how every part of this felt like it was made specifically for me. Unbelievable!!!

This and Fantastic Mr. Fox are both enjoying drinks in the corner of the film industry, chatting over how they quietly redefined the heist movie.

Waited a long 9 years for a new Miranda July movie! She’s one of my all-time favorite artists, Impossible for me to watch her films without experiencing a deep array of emotions, appreciating being alive and crying minimum three times.

Oh Old Dolio. Codependency, hell of a drug.

This was really sweet and I really liked it. Fucking great score. Looked it up afterwards and wouldn't you know it, it's Emile Mosseri who also did Minari and Last Black Man in San Francisco, two other standout scores I've loved recently. This mf talented. If he ends up being the go-to composer for all of Plan B's upcoming projects, I would not be upset! If you are expecting me to have more to say about this movie, I am…
