Don’t Regret. Remember.
An impeccably shot and immersive look at unexpected love, Portrait of a Lady on Fire is not only Céline Sciamma's best but one of the finest of the past decade.
The colours are so vivid and matching the aesthetic, every shot feels like a painting - framed so particularly. With the isolated environment and limited characters, it's easy to be swept up in it and there's something so comforting and alluring about the world it creates.
And if that wasn't enough, it finishes on one of the most powerful endings of all time. Just unbeatable.
