Gino’s review published on Letterboxd:
This would've been so cool to see in theaters. I could imagine that this wouldn't be that interesting to people who already know the story but I basically knew nothing about the Black Panther Party and Fred Hampton so I was engaged with the plot the whole time, especially with how good the acting and the direction was. I thought it was just great but once the third act came, I loved it and left the movie feeling different.
Also, Judas and the Black Messiah is one of the coolest titles ever and is like half the reason why I wanted to see it once the trailer dropped.
